Airport
The Airport Linz is also known as "Blue Dabube Airport"
and located in the village called "Hörsching" in the Western direction
from Linz.
The airport is existing since 1939, but opened to the public not before 1955.
The air traffic with passengers started in 1956. Between 1998 and 2003 the airport was extended for passenger air traffic.
The oldest air connection of the airport remains since 1966 to
Frankfurt/Main. Today you can fly from Linz to cities like Düsseldorf,
Graz, Salzburg and Vienna. Since 2004 a daily air connection to London
is existing. There is also a charter program to popular holiday
destinations like Palma de Mallorca, Malta, Hurghada, Luxor, Sharm El
Sheik, Fez and Monastir.
New air connection from Linz are: Moscow, Nuremburg, Cologne, and Prague.
